Appeals

You and your child have the right to appeal if your child has been refused a place at Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form.

If your child was refused admission because they didn’t meet the entry requirements as specified above, the appeals panel will only uphold the appeal if it considers that the decision was unreasonable based on the information available. For example, if there are specific reasons or special circumstances that meant your child was not able to get the required GCSEs at the relevant grades.

Please contact the school to request and complete an appeal form with the reasons for the appeal. Once the form is received an appeal hearing will be held within 40 school days from the deadline for lodging appeals, or within 30 school days for an in-year admission application.

Please contact us if you would like further information on how to apply.
