• Simplify expressions to generalise a statement to be always true or not.
• Recognise using completing the square that an expression is always positive (or possibly negative).

Prerequisite Knowledge:

• Be able to use algebraic notation to represent even, odd, multiples and square numbers.
• Complete the square.
• General algebraic manipulation (expanding brackets, simplifying expressions)
