Sir Isaac Newton Sixth form is delighted to announce its newest subject: Environmental Science.

The thought provoking material will be taught with a multidisciplinary approach to learning, appealing to students who have a keen interest in the sustainability of our planet.

The course will enhance the students' understanding of research methods, and cover topics such as the physical environment, including changes to the atmosphere and weather patterns, and the living environment, including evolution of life on Earth.

Key topics include the biophysical environment, energy resources, pollution, circular economy and sustainability. It will include real-life case studies to give real-world applications to their work.

Director of Careers and Outreach, Richard Champeney, said "Environmental science enables students to apply the theories learned in several subjects. I particularly enjoy the use of big science to address real-world issues. We are excited to welcome prospective students with a keen interest in conservation and environmental issues."
