16th Aug 2019 Back

A record number of top university places crown this year's A-level results.

Four students at Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form secured the results needed to study at Cambridge University, with students reading maths, medicine, veterinary science, and natural science.

Overall, the sixth form's students achieved 75% A*-C grades, with more than a quarter of all grades at A*/A.

Principal Chris Jennings said: "I'm delighted that our students have achieved some exceptionally strong results, with many securing places at the country's top universities.

"Several students have achieved straight A*/A grades and we have a record four students securing places at Cambridge.

"Coming on top of our Outstanding rating from Ofsted, this crowns a great year for Sir Isaac."
