Internet safety - how to protect your child online

For many of our young people, remote learning means spending time online. We have created a list of helpful resources for parents/carers to make sure your child is safe when using the Internet.

  • Childnet International works directly with children and young people from the ages of 3 to 18, as well as parents, carers, teachers and professionals. It aims to make the Internet a safer place. Their website includes information about mobiles, gaming, downloading and social networking.
  • UK Safer Internet Centre offers safety tips, advice and resources.
  • If you are worried about a child you can contact your school's safeguarding team. During school closures, they will still be available to support you.
  • The Anti-Bullying Alliance is a group of organisations united against bullying. It has advice for parents, outlines how to make a complaint and offers mental health support.
