It's been announced that phased school returns could happen from 1 June (after half term) at the earliest. The Prime Minister has said this will be done in stages, beginning with Reception, Year 1 and Year 6.

The Prime Minister also said that the government's ambition is for secondary pupils sitting exams next year to get at least some time with their teachers before the holidays.
