Over 200 pupils gathered at  Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form to collect their STEM A level grades with many securing places at top universities with eight securing Oxbridge places.

A total of 84% of grades were within A*- C with 43% achieving grades  A* - A.

Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form college is a specialist maths and science sixth form in the heart of Norwich.  Its vision is for its students to be the next generation of leaders within the STEM industries.

Principal Chris Jennings said: “I am exceptionally proud of all our students. They have worked tirelessly through a turbulent two years, demonstrating high levels of resilience and a superb attitude to all the changes that have taken place in schools during the pandemic. They are a credit to their families and I wish them every success in the future.”

A special congratulations to:

Hannah Berry, who got  A* in Biology, Chemistry and Maths and is off to study Medicine at the University of Cambridge. Hannah said “I am delighted and looking forward to seeing where it takes me.”.

Also, heading off to the University of Cambridge is Locky Baker who is going to study Computer Science after achieving an A* in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computing. Locky remarked: “I am really happy.  I am really happy for everyone.”

Finally, well done to Blod Grant who remarked that  she felt “amazing” which is unsurprising as she achieved an A* in Maths, Chemistry and Biology, thus securing a place at Cardiff University to study Dentistry.
